Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no particular conditions on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
